A Sample of Raga Bhimpalasi, Raga Bihag, and the Bollywood classic, “Teri Bindiya Re”
Chris played at our wedding last summer and it was definitely one of the highlight moments. We had many musicians and musical enthusiasts who traveled from India and Europe for the wedding and all were enthralled and continue to speak about the performance. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

SERVICES
Feel free to browse through the Sitar and Bollywood packages below. His services come with a high quality Bose L1 (model 2) and Bose Compact sound system. He arrives two hours early to set up in a relaxed manner before guests begin to arrive. Performances are carefully tailored to meet the needs of a wedding ceremony, a cocktail hour, a dinner, or a mehndi party the night before. Christopher also performs for parties of (almost) any kind, corporate events, and full concerts.
SITAR PERFORMANCE
Christopher performs sitar at South Asian weddings, but also at multicultural weddings. In the multicultural setting, one side of the family will often want something particularly traditional to South Asia, like the sitar. The sitar is an excellent bridge builder between the families. Most people in the West know what a sitar is because of Ravi Shankar and his daughter, Anoushka, but few have heard one in a “live” setting. Sitar at a wedding provides a rich experience of authentic Hindustani culture that can be shared and enjoyed by all the guests.
In the sitar package we offer authentic classical and semi-classical (thumri/bhajan) performances of the following ragas:
Ahir Bhairav, Bageshree, Bhairavi, Bhimpalasi, Bhupali, Darbari Kanada, Desh, Durga, Gaur Sarang, Jaunpuri, Jhinjhoti, Jog, Kafi, Kedar, Khamaj, Lalit, Malkauns, Marwa, Megh, Nat Bhairav, Pilu, Puriya Dhanashri, Rageshree, Shuddh Kalyan, Tilak Kamod, Todi, Yaman
BOLLYWOOD SONGS
Performing “Ek Ladki Ko Dekha” at a Walima ceremony in Toronto
Wedding guests not only enjoy classical sitar music, but particularly love popular Bollywood songs. Our selection of Bollywood songs fits not only weddings, but private functions such as birthday parties, or company events. Christopher selects songs that span from the 1960′s to the present. Here is a list of some of the songs he sings, accompanied by guitar and tabla:
Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To, Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai, Paila Nasha, Kabhi Kabhie, Kora Kagaz Tha Ye Man Mera, Teri Bindiya, Chura Liya, Roop Tera Mastana, Oh Mere Sona Re, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Tumko Dekha To Yeh Khayal Aaya, Tere Mere Milan Ki Yeh Raina, Zara Zara, Tu Hi Re, Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gayi, Tum Itna Jo Muskura Rahe Ho, Channa Mereya, Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo, Aaj Se Teri from Pad Man.
